Our daily diet is a major determinant for our future health including the prevention and development of conditions such as cardiovascular disease1, diabetes2, osteoporosis3 and cancer4. Our nutritional needs and status may vary depending on age, lifestyle, environment and health.
Patients often suffer from a compromised nutritional status due to reduced dietary intake and/or altered metabolic needs caused by their disease and consequently they can develop malnutrition. At Danone Research & Innovation our science aims to help patients of all ages to address nutritional insufficiencies that arise when they are unable to meet their requirements via normal foods.
