We are proud to share that dr. Eline van der Beek, Director Early Life Development at Danone Research & Innovation, has been appointed as Special Professor Nutritional Programming at the University Medical Centre Groningen, University of Groningen.
It’s a great recognition of her expertise and science.
Eline’s endowed chair will be at the Department of Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Beatrix Children’s Hospital, University Medical Centre Groningen, University of Groningen, The Netherlands.
The official inauguration will take place on 31 January 2017 in Groningen.

Prior to the inaugural lecture, Danone Research & Innovation is organising an international scientific symposium: Early Life Nutrition & Growth: ‘Now for Later’.
We are honoured that internationally recognised experts will present various topics related to Nutritional Programming, specifically the role, impact and relevance of maternal health and nutrient quality in early life. As optimal growth and development in early life, specifically during the first 1000 days, are pivotal for health later in life.
