Alzheimer’s disease is a degenerative brain disorder affecting millions of people worldwide. Currently, there is no cure. However, lifestyle interventions that target multiple risk factors simultaneously (including diet, exercise, cognitive training, and social activities) have been shown to be beneficial for people with early AD.   

New research tested a 6-month multidomain lifestyle intervention, alone or combined with medical nutrition with the active ingredient Fortasyn ConnectTM, and the standard care in people with early AD.1Thunborg, C.Wang, R. Alz … Continue reading  The results suggested that that the combination of medical nutrition and the lifestyle intervention improved people’s healthy dietary patterns, vascular risk burden, and cognitive-functional level. This insight may be helpful when designing future research or when healthcare professionals plan care for their patients with this complex disease.
