In a nutshell
At Danone Research & Innovation, our Immunity team is dedicated to unraveling the intricate relationship between nutrition and the immune system, through the direct and indirect modulation of the gut microbiota.
The immune system has a front-line role in safeguarding our health by serving as a shield against external threats and preventing disease. Therefore, our research focus is on understanding how nutrition impacts the prevention and management of immune-related disorders such as allergies, recurrent infections, cancer and autoimmune diseases. In addition, we are investigating the potential for early life nutrition to mitigate the risk of non-communicable disease development later in life.
