Title: Breastfeeding is associated with a decreased risk of childhood asthma exacerbations later in life

This study objective was to assess the link between breastfeeding and the risk of asthma and asthma severity in children. Data of the PACMAN study were used, from 960 children aged 4-12 years using asthma medication. The results showed that breasfeeding was associated with a decreased risk of asthma exacerbation, indicating that children who had been breasfed had a statistically significantly lower risk of asthma exacerbations later in life compared to asthmatic children who had not been breastfed.
