This is the first systematic review and meta-analysis comparing plasma levels of micronutrients and fatty acids in patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) to the elderly people who are cognitively healthy. Additionally the study investigates the presence of different plasma nutrient levels between AD and control populations that did not differ in measures of protein/energy nourishment.
